But its true, we all know how Trump is, if he had absolute confidence in some 97D reverse chutes & ladders plan, he would be excitedly telling us big things are coming. He still would be speaking out against the coup. Trump is a proud man, he doesn't like to lose.
Instead he ran out of options, was threatened by Congress with impeachment and Article 25, and then quietly bowed out, called for unity and healing, and said "have a nice life" and went back to private life for now.
