Nicely done!
I thought it might help if I reiterate my comment from last week:
tips from someone knowledgeable of the industry:
if you threaten chargeback, they will most likely refund. here's why..
first, their merchant account provider (and possibly gateway provider) will charge them a chargeback fee up front (usually $25, held until the chargeback is resolved, only given back if they win the case).
they will need to address the chargeback (man hours, not scalable), and the first question they are usually asked is 'did you offer to settle this and provide a refund?', which they will then generally do (they would also be out the original discount rate fee)
if they decide to fight your chargeback, they will need to prove their claims (not sure how easy this would be based on the actual terms (you should go save those terms on the donation page, if you haven't already))..
if you win and they lose, they lose the chargeback fee and they lose charged amount, plus all the initial transaction fee and discount percentage (~2.8%).
regardless if you win or lose, this affects their overall chargeback percentage, which they need to keep below 1-3% of all transactions.
Really good info here. This is the key to getting them to refund your donation. In my "pressing" them for a refund I made clear that if I was not refunded I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company.
