I've been using a religious exemption to go around the mask mandate at work and supposedly tomorrow OSHA adopts a mandatory mask policy. Even though I've spoke with a lawyer and know that my employer can't terminate for the religious exemption, I was hoping to double-up on my anti-mask security and get a medical exemption as well.

After four TeleHealth conferences and a day of searching, no doctor will give a medical exemption (all have roughly the same generic response) and I can't find the specific OSHA policy stating mask requirements to see if it provides any exceptions.

The almost verbatim response I've gotten from all four was something like, "The risk of exposure are far too great to advise not wearing a mask under any circumstances".

I went with shortness of breath due to 25 years of smoking and severe claustrophobia as my excuse.
