to be honest if you read any history book of the third reich they will tell you how the wiemar republic had huge socialist tendencies. Hitlers first political efforts failed because he didn't appease those tendencies. So he knew he had to dress it up and offer the people a bunch of empty promises, but he always knew he was going to be a dictator. to be honest that is the butt of thejoke, Socialism could work if human beings were ethically pure but we are not so that system always fails to the most corrupt politician who wants to grab the power.
