Anyone with any sense will know now that going back to the days before radio and television is the only way to live our lives. We should only believe the things that we personally witness or know about from trusted sources that have been backed up by other believable evidence. Our country is now is Banana Republic who's communication infrastructure is filled with government-controlled agenda-driven ideologues.

Agreed. We're being lied to universally by hollow people in empty suits with purile minds reading off a teleprompter that they may or may not believe, for a paycheck. And who is paying them?

In the pre-cable days I grew up in the news was only on for an hour in the evening. And the newspaper was something to read at breakfast. I know your point was about the fakeness and getting firsthand information. Which is appalling now. But it also didn't fill so much of the day either. Sometimes I read magazines but mostly I read books. Or did other activities alone or with people, even if it was just taking a nice drive or going to a coffee shop to hang out. People were saner when news wasn't an all day activity. Edited

If they report it, it's propaganda.

If they censor it, it's true.
