By overly targeting mostly peaceful protesters, they are only going to further create more radical people.
I understand prosecuting those who attacked cops, destroyed property, or went into the building.
But anything beyond that is definitely overstepping I'd say.
If anything, doing this will create more rebellious people out there.
It isn't going to help. Want to prevent a rebellion from happening again?
Step #1: stop silencing people, and actually represent them in government.
A bunch of completely voiceless and disenfranchised people were extremely upset that their reps have show their true colors.
The fact being, we don't have representation in government.
Neither do most liberals. The average American has no representation, and I think it's important we share this idea with liberals as well.
We need to all wake up and smell the coffee. If you are a normal American, your government doesn't represent you.
They have failed us, and show absolutely no remorse for being sellouts.
Average Americans deserve to have a voice in government, and they can only ignore for so long, until people become fed up.
That's essentially what happened to spark the revolutionary war.
The European colonists found themselves with no true representation in Parliament, and many Americans have found themselves with no true representation in Congress.

This goes for ALL countries. America is headed toward a time of major changes. Good, bad or indiffeeent. Either way things are going to massively change the next 30 years, likely for the worst, as most changes since our inception have been for the worse.
