If that false flag didn't pan out then the FIB would have just kept going until they got one to be "successful" and make us terrorists. It is truly sick and stunning that they are fighting against the side that (used to) support them.
I mean the tea party did piss off the crown even more, which made him rack down harder on the colonies, which accelerated the path to war. Would there have been a peaceful resolution with the tea party? Perhaps, but it probably didn't make much difference in the long run.
