I'll take this opportunity to give tribute to my dad. He was a grunt in the army. 2 and a half years fighting in Italy, from Montecassino through the Apennine mountains--walking through the mountains. 360 days were spent in battles. Slept and walked in mud, rain and snow. Often marched while asleeep. Got malaria, shot in the shoulder and sent back in a few days later. All but a handful of men from his original brigade were killed and he had to join a different one. During the war, he got a parasite from the conditions that led to physical problems for the rest of his life. I learned of his experiences through many years of getting a piece of information once in a while as he didn't want to talk about the bad times, like most vets of wars.

God bless all the vets and thanks to you all.
