Can I order her a treat through Uber eats or something? I could order and pay for it and just leave it for someone to pick up so there’s no doxing. We used to be poor too. Those are some of my favorite memories. Had our power cut once and we just drank a cold beer in our underwear with no ac in the blistering heat. If you can make it through poverty you can make it through everything.
Exactly this! I'm now 15 years into my marriage and first home. We have nice things now (except for the fridge my cousin gave to me out of her garage... If it ain't broke, don't fix it!) I often walk past the fireplace and remember our first two months at the house when we couldn't afford any furniture. Sitting by the fire with my hubby in our folding lawn chairs. No internet, no tv. Just us, hanging out. Those are my favorite memories!
...through richer or poorer...sickness and health...through better or worse...
That's what it's all about hon! Marriage isn't about an endless love fest. It's about the two of you looking ahead, seeing mostly hell, but an oasis here and there, and you looking into each other's eyes and say, ''Alright, Let's Go.'' Then moving forward, one step at a time. And every time you defeat all who would destroy you - you put your middle finger in their face and yell, 'You Lose, Bastards!''
There is no stronger force on earth than the family, and each one is a victory. God Bless you.
This is exactly what keeps us going. September of 2018, she was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and BEAT the ever leaving fuck out of it. Barely even put a dent into her personality. Last year in January I was diagnosed with liver failure and need a transplant. She's stayed by my side though it all and can definitely be the more courageous of the two of us.
We appreciate the offer! We're located in the midwest, but possibly looking into traveling to the East coast to visit my only based sibling within the next month or so!
Shoot me a PM and let me know! I'm in the CT/MA area. I usually work construction, but I can manage with Portraits too! So that way you have a nice gift (tho late) to give
I met my woman after the bigcrash in 2008 I was broke, jobless and on unemployment for months.
There was nowhere to go but up from there.
We are doing great and are still happy together.
You have your love for each other, pede! Now go read a short story by O. Henry called “The Gift of the Magi”. It is about a young couple who don’t have money for Christmas gifts. Very sweet story with a surprise ending. https://americanenglish.state.gov/files/ae/resource_files/1-the_gift_of_the_magi_0.pdf
P.S. Maybe you can write your wife a poem or short story. ❤️
My mother read me this once when I was a child and I still think about it. I just spoke about this story with my wife (but forgot its name) and said I was going to try to find it one day. Thanks for posting this.
I have a feeling you guys are a fabulous team and will overcome the hardship of this year to triump again together. God bless you both and happy birthday to your great wife!
Almost Our entire place of living was built from the Salvation Army and Goodwill. Best way of saving money on furniture. The only thing brand new purchased was her Christmas/Birthday gift and that was a $150 air fryer she's used every day since.
I can relate. My businesses went to shit when my industry was destroyed by the China Virus. My wife worked for a company in the hospitality industry with 300 employees that is now gone.
I had some lean times and went on some humiliating interviews. Including one for some asshole that knowingly made me wait for an hour after driving an hour to get to the interview.
But while this was happening I worked on opening a new covid proof business, after 18 hour work days (looking for a job while starting a new business at the same time), my new business is gaining momentum and is finally starting to pay off (still a little rough, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel).
Going through this really brings into focus what is important on life, G-d and Family. Looks like you have the right attitude and the right partner, you'll come out stronger for it.
I often think of Lee Greenwood's song "God Bless the USA"
"If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars
To be livin' here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away"
Good women are loyal, through good times or through the valley of the shadow of death. Good wives ride or die. Been with my man since he was 17, were old and grey now. With God and family, little is much, if God is in it
Hey pede we love you and your family as it is ours as well!
If you give me your Venmo, PayPal, your mailing address (or any other means) I will buy you groceries for the week. Don't get me wrong I'm broke as fuck too, but not from the virus.
Besides, I have an extra $200 laying around from that stop the steal refund I just got! KEK
Pm me as well bubba, my wife found me laying on a bed freshly back from playing soldier. Back in 92 brain, epilepsy and spinal equaled 20% I remember milk crate furniture and 3 long years to get to 100%. But 3 kids grey hair and she is still my rock and the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on.
Just remember, we didn't have all these distractions 20-30 years ago, and we were just fine and were probably happier to some degree.
And you'll definitely appreciate the things you do have when you get back on your feet, most importantly a stronger marriage that can not be broken by outside forces.
Damn man, I’d say you are a good judge of character.
I don’t know why, but the moments in life that are the toughest always bring the happiest memories later.
Like it has been offered already by others, if you need a meal or something, just DM and we will work it out. They targeted you and everyone else in this hoax, and we’re not going to let them win.
I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who's updooted and commented so far! Holy crap I did not expect for this post to even get any sort of attention. My wife will be awake shortly to breakfast in bed and going to pull this up on her phone. I know I didn't get a chance to reply to everyone, I'm going to give her the chance to react and comment from her account, before I do anymore. This is going to make her whole day!
Maybe blessing in disguise. Hard to see it now, but imagine being duped in 10 years after a mortgage and some kids. She passed the test. Bigly.
This, the stress tests always bring it out the fakers. They let the mask slip.
Kek
Lol, didn't even think about that when posting.

Hope you two manage to have a good birthday day for her. Times are tough; hang in there. We have to hope it’ll get better!

Much respect for suggesting this small jewel of literature.

The best things to have and give are respect, love and support.
Every. F-ing One of Us needs to BUY NOTHING. Or buy at thrift stores or yard sales.
Support made in usa small businesses

GOOD FOR YOU
My wife and I have been through a lot of shit, but it’s the hard times that brought us closest together. That’s how you know you picked the right one.
Good luck! It’s nowhere but up from here!
Wow she’s quite the looker too 👀
Hang in there man! But sounds like you hit the jackpot with the wife.
You're blessed to have each other. Everything else is replaceable. Enjoy every moment together.

Best wishes for many blessings this year. With your winning attitude, things can only get better.

Amen! Happy birthday to your smart lady! My family is strong and tight during this bullshit, too!
I bet there are roughly 75million people that would happily change donations that were earmarked for the RNC.
Gimme a Take my money button!

NICE. I wish I could buy you two a dinner.
I offered, but OP didn't reply.
Well...God Shelter Them! And you Patriot!
Thank you. Maybe he's concerned about doxxing himself? Or just missed the message.
Most desirable trait in a woman.
Strong family values > Literally anything else
Now THAT is what a woman should be like with her husband!
All you singles take note. Stop repeating the degeneracy of a broken culture
