I went to my local grocery store and randomly decided in the middle of shopping "You know what, I'm not going to wear a mask and see what happens."

Walking around without a mask was surprisingly freeing, and a little nerve wracking, to be honest. Quite a few times people made eye contact with me and then immediately looked away, but nobody said anything.

I did my best to remain respectful to other people and maintain a distance from them, not because I really care, but more for the comfort of others who still believe all of the fake news and are fearful about the China Virus. Once I finished off my checklist, I headed to the self-checkout, paid for my things, and then left without any pushback.

So, nothing really exciting happened, and nothing bad happened either.

After reading posts on this incredible website almost daily, it's really started to hit home that I need to do something, even if it's a small way to resist and break the social norms that we've all been forced to accept.

From now on, I'm going to do my best to find ways to civilly and respectfully disobey unconstitutional rules whenever I get the chance. I just want my fellow Americans and neighbors to see that not everyone is falling for the media narrative and the "New Normal". And I hope this post encourages you fellow Patriots on here to find your own ways take a stand, too.

Neither have I not even once. I must scare people because no one has ever said a single word to me.

It's crazy how much it impacts our ability to connect with our fellow man. My gym doesn't require masks, and it's the one place I feel like a normal human being.

Well done, every little bit helps!

Thank you! It definitely seems small in comparison, but damn... It's infinitely more than what I've been doing for the past 9 months.

I don’t wear one either when out shopping. Haven’t yet except one time when one of children needed Glasses and not the dr but the guy helping us pick out a pair (wearing a mask and a shield by the way) made us wear one. I caved as my kid needs to see. 10 minutes wearing the darn face diaper and I had a headache the rest of the day and a sore throat for two. We also purchased an o2 monitor and my levels go from 99/100% to 94% when wearing a mask.

What’s interesting is as time goes on I see more and more people wearing them. Plus of course no one is friendly and though no on has been aggressive today I was given quite a few nasty looks. Our humanity is being destroyed.

Good on you for holding the line on masks! I had to wear one for my job in the food industry, or I'd get fired, so I got used to it. Definitely really irritating having to wear it, and I'm not going to lie, while I had that job, I noticed myself being mad at the other people who weren't wearing it. Not because of the virus or anything, but because I had to wear it and they didn't.

I definitely agree with what you're saying about our humanity being destroyed. We're being told to stay away from each other, have no human interaction, no human contact. It's destroying the very core of what makes us human.

I found your statement interesting on how you became upset when others weren’t wearing one because you had to and they weren’t. I never considered this but it makes perfect sense and those in charge know it. They are using fear to control many and even those of us who know the facts still become emotional. We are waging a war on evil and I know God is in charge but man would I like to see this end sooner than later.

It was definitely something I realized after reflecting upon it a couple months after I left the job. And as background, I have been hardcore conservative since I was born, and the resentment even got to me about people not wearing masks. Albeit, this was at the beginning of the pandemic and I thought they were just uneducated and had no clue what was going on.

I'm assuming that's how some of these people view me now, when I go around without wearing a mask.

I did this last night and in fact there were probably 10 other people going without as well. Nobody said anything, friendly head nod here and there, but thats it. Gotta love Texas.

God bless Texas!

Not once have I worn a muzzle in a grocery store.

Even as cucked as our governor here in Georgia is, the grocery stores don't force it on us. Only once did they even offer me one.

There's still about 70% of the shoppers sheeping.

God I wish I lived in the south! That sounds amazing. It's pretty much required here, and there are plenty of lib women (typically retail where I end up going for shopping/coffee) who love power tripping when they get the opportunity.

I have never worn one, even in shithole connecticut no one has said anything in 6 months. but i get complements on my Trump pin.

LlamaLlandLlord [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's awesome! Definitely isn't the same everywhere. I live in a fairly liberal city that will typically refuse you service if you don't wear one. Fortunately, this place had self-checkout

When the mask thing reached a peak and everyone started wearing them, it freaked me out, it was very dystopian and felt very wrong. It must be psychological conditioning, because soon i stopped giving a fuck, and now i feel like THEY are the aliens here. I call them mask zombies now and i kind of feel sorry for them.

I also snarl like a rabid dog whenever anyone confronts me about a mask. Its very entertaining, you should try it

I'm not going to lie, I was one of those people in the beginning. My friend and I saw Wuhan Virus + Lockdowns coming a month before it happened and prepped, but I worked in a food-service industry and was eventually required to wear one.

otistoole 4 points ago +4 / -0

At first i wore a bandana across my face like jesse James but i stopped caring. Now, my stock answer to anyone demanding i wear a mask is CALL THE FUCKING POLICE THEN.

Im sure ill eventually get tased

2
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL! That's a great response. I definitely don't have the personality to be super confrontational yet, but I'm building up to it. I just want to do my part to help start breaking the social conditioning. Don't want to get tazed tho tbh

4
otistoole 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ive never been particularly confrontational. I like to make people laugh and care for my loved ones. But Im middle aged now, and my life has gone to shit because of covid, and my kids grew up and moved away, and my old lady left and i drink too much so I just don't care anymore. Fuck it. Im cranky and fed up and we live in fucking clown world. HONK HONK MOTHERFUCKERS

2
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm sorry to hear that. Definitely a tough spot. But on the flip side, we definitely need people these days who dont give a fuck and man the front lines of breaking social norms!

3
otistoole 3 points ago +3 / -0

Join us in not giving a fuck. Its very freeing

4
Ridiculousposter 4 points ago +4 / -0

It felt normal. That is what we all want, normalcy.

2
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed! That is definitely what the American culture has turned into. When America was first founded we didn't want to just be normal. We wanted the freedom to be extraordinary. I hope we can find a way to rekindle that spirit.

Wife gets mad at me for not wearing a face diaper if I can help it. From going to a restaurant door to the table, to walking about Walmart, I crave not having to fog up my spectacles while browsing the Nintendo Aisle.

1
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sometimes when I feel really rebellious, I don't put my mask back on when I leave the restaurant.

I TOTALLY feel you about fogging up my glasses while wearing a mask.

2
Ridiculousposter 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't put the mask back on. The wait staff can blow me after I am walking out with my leftovers. As an introvert, I already socially distance, but this doesn't make thing any better.

2
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL! I Literally have the same thoughts when I leave. Like, fam, I left you a tip. Let me breath in peace. And to be honest, most waiting staff could care less. Baristas on the otherhand...

2
Ridiculousposter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh I have a local restaurant that the bitch at the front won't let me walk 15 feet to my table, which has plastic dividers between tables and works at like 50% capacity, without a face diaper. But when I leave, I metaphorically whip my dick around because I have paid for my food and she can consume a bag of willies.

MeMargie 3 points ago +3 / -0

In the grocery store I tell them, I do not believe in the masks, it was a Bio Weapon created to be an Election Infection, they chuckled and walked away.

3
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well that is definitely one way to diffuse the situation!

2
MeMargie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Soon they will be allowing us to go to more establishments :)

3
Belac186 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't wear a mask. I haven't worn it since the beginning. I have been kicked out of a lot of places but most people don't care. Don't let them control your life.

3
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

You definitely make it sound easy, but for a lot of people it's really intimidating. For the longest time I had a lot of my own stuff to deal with without also having to deal with people constantly harassing me for not wearing a mask. I'm in a different place now, and have decided to make the change. Honestly, I'll probably still wear the mask every once in a while, but I'm making the shift.

4
Belac186 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's an attitude thing for me and I also believed from the beginning that masks are useless and we're just so idiots in the public could feel some security.

3
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not going to lie, I thought in the beginning masks would help, but that's because I know nothing about the medical field. Definitely got a good education over the course of the past couple months! Who knows, maybe I'll try for the triple layer and judge the people who only wear one.

But I agree, it definitely has given me TSA vibes in terms of "muh security"

MAGARyLue 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wear a mesh mask that has giant holes in it so I can breathe normally. No one has noticed. It technically counts because it’s a cloth face covering over my nose and mouth.

LlamaLlandLlord [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hoping that Crocks come out with a mask soon!

1
UncleDaddyZ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Never worn one. Had the sheriff called 7x. Posted all on social media. Got 5 tyrants fired. Never been arrested. Burn your mask. Stop being a push.

2
LlamaLlandLlord [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good for you! I'll do things my way. Not going to pretend to be some keyboard alpha warrior for internet points.

1
UncleDaddyZ 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ve posted all the videos. No keyboard warrior or larping here, only action.

Wow it took you this long to grow some balls! Jesus christ no wonder why this mask mandate bullshit keeps going on. Well I'm glad you are finally resisting but Jesus christ you shouldn't have ever put that shit on.

I had to wear a mask for my job and got used to wearing it. I have enough shit in my own life that I didn't want to give myself extra. I'm in a different place in my life now. I'm also not going to apologize or pretend like I was some incredible keyboard warrior in the real world. I'm just a regular dude who has his own shit going on and decided to try to do something small that I wouldn't normally do.

There are more people in here like me than there are like you. Most people just want to be left alone. It's hard for people to go against the norm.
