I went to my local grocery store and randomly decided in the middle of shopping "You know what, I'm not going to wear a mask and see what happens."
Walking around without a mask was surprisingly freeing, and a little nerve wracking, to be honest. Quite a few times people made eye contact with me and then immediately looked away, but nobody said anything.
I did my best to remain respectful to other people and maintain a distance from them, not because I really care, but more for the comfort of others who still believe all of the fake news and are fearful about the China Virus. Once I finished off my checklist, I headed to the self-checkout, paid for my things, and then left without any pushback.
So, nothing really exciting happened, and nothing bad happened either.
After reading posts on this incredible website almost daily, it's really started to hit home that I need to do something, even if it's a small way to resist and break the social norms that we've all been forced to accept.
From now on, I'm going to do my best to find ways to civilly and respectfully disobey unconstitutional rules whenever I get the chance. I just want my fellow Americans and neighbors to see that not everyone is falling for the media narrative and the "New Normal". And I hope this post encourages you fellow Patriots on here to find your own ways take a stand, too.
I don’t wear one either when out shopping. Haven’t yet except one time when one of children needed Glasses and not the dr but the guy helping us pick out a pair (wearing a mask and a shield by the way) made us wear one. I caved as my kid needs to see. 10 minutes wearing the darn face diaper and I had a headache the rest of the day and a sore throat for two. We also purchased an o2 monitor and my levels go from 99/100% to 94% when wearing a mask.
What’s interesting is as time goes on I see more and more people wearing them. Plus of course no one is friendly and though no on has been aggressive today I was given quite a few nasty looks. Our humanity is being destroyed.
Good on you for holding the line on masks! I had to wear one for my job in the food industry, or I'd get fired, so I got used to it. Definitely really irritating having to wear it, and I'm not going to lie, while I had that job, I noticed myself being mad at the other people who weren't wearing it. Not because of the virus or anything, but because I had to wear it and they didn't.
I definitely agree with what you're saying about our humanity being destroyed. We're being told to stay away from each other, have no human interaction, no human contact. It's destroying the very core of what makes us human.
I found your statement interesting on how you became upset when others weren’t wearing one because you had to and they weren’t. I never considered this but it makes perfect sense and those in charge know it. They are using fear to control many and even those of us who know the facts still become emotional. We are waging a war on evil and I know God is in charge but man would I like to see this end sooner than later.
