It's just one way to tell it's imported. USA garlic doesn't need to have the roots cut off and be cleaned, imported garlic does

It's pretty easy to grow too, if you have a spot to grow it. I suck at growing plants but that's one I can do. Then you'll know where it's from.

Believe it’s the roots scooped off which is required by law if coming from China. No soil allowed! Or it’s mold.
