I don’t follow. This article and everything I read today, says that the filibuster remains intact.

I despise McConnell but I don’t understand what this article is saying

They hold all the cards. Even having to fight this is a loss. It’s akin to begging an arsonist to not burn down your home while their buddy plans to demolish it with a bulldozer. There is no telling what McCuckel had to agree to in order to get Manchin and Sienna to come out against it. Not fighting the fake impeachment was surely one of those.

Filibuster is still in effect. McConnell wanted it in writing which he could have been used to beat the dems over the head with if they changed it.

I mean it was symbolic. Even if it was in writing getting rid of the filibuster is the same procedure.
