Yes, I have a (former) relative who lives in that state. He calls people who voted for Trump, or that matter any conservative or libertarian (in the political philosophy, not the party) a bunch of "idiots". Let New Mexico embrace their new reality...state taxes will have to rise to fund the schools, police, etc.
