God speaking about king David: “I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with flogging inflicted by human hands.”

I have cherry picked this out of Biblical text, but it seems to advocate rising up against your leaders if they are doing wrong.

I didn’t intend for my post to mean Biden is legitimate. He’s not.

The Bible is interesting in that it is very anti government. God warned Israel about it in 1 Samuel 8, and they still wanted a king. They fell apart after kings were put in place and haven’t recovered. Jesus was anti government despite “popular” interpretations of his preaching.

God is Israel's invisible king. God predicted that they will demand a human king. God told them about the disadvantages of their demands. But they don't want an invisible king. God gave them what they wanted. It later evolved into a complex system of government. Before there was a king, there were prophets, priests, judges, leaders, etc. established by God. Each has their own functions. They don't have taxes. They only have tithes on certain occasions. The government seems nonexistent. The leaders operate when the situation calls for it. For God, this is ideal but not for man.
