My son is 23 and getting the vaccine too. I'm scared and don't want him to get it, but there is nothing I can do since he is an adult. So I know what you are going through.
He even called me and asked if I thought he should get it. he said they told him, he could still get the virus even after the shot and that he could still pass the virus to others. Then he said why would I get it if that is the case, and I told him, he should not get it because of this fact. He's getting it anyway. Brainwashed I tell you. No independent thought left at all... I am so sad. I didn't raise him like that.
At least he called and asked your opinion. My son is extremely independent and has always hated if I tell him what to do. He is a good boy though and in law school. As his Mom, I always knew he would become a lawyer because of his personality.
