What's the best tool for "textifying" a PDF of this sort, btw? Zillions of things here that aren't going to OCR, but the main body even would be interesting.
There are some scanners that can read grabbled text and convert them into readable documents. I have not worked with any of those scanners but the tech exists.
That's my understanding, but every time I decide to go poking around I get swamped by "Buy Adobe!" and various "Free download!!!" type places, not somewhere clear cut.
I had a (older) Fujitsu ScanSnap, and it used a (stripped) version of Adobe. But OS changes have killed it for me.

I am sure you can find some old scanner online on Craigslist, only thing is it'll be on sale by some junkie who needs money for dope.
