I use the sheep analogy...they are always told to watch out for the wolf which is not there anymore,,,to reinforce the fear the rancher puts a sheep dog there for their protection against the "wolf" ...the sheep are convinced the rancher cares about saving their lives against all those wolves...well he does until slaughter day and the sheep dog rounds them up
