Ignoring climate or environmental concerns, fossil fuel is finite, and we waste it too much in my opinion. Do you know how many things like plastics, toothpaste etc requires fossil fuels? Isn't it better to curb our usage for things like electricity generation, which has "unlimited" alternatives to avoid having a shortage of various goods later on? As I said, I don't care about climate or environmental concerns, just the "its going to run out soon" part.
