The Reddit sub is going be real fucking sorry before too long. Don't think the FBI isn't already all over it and are already talking to Reddit to get logs, names, and IP's of everyone on that subreddit.
Don't think for a second that they're not going to charge them and arrest them either. It doesn't even matter if it's legal or not. They'll make it ILLEGAL. And they'll do it at the behest of their pissed off Wall Street buddies.

It sounds like what we're doing, (sounds good, I'm in) is deliberately buying a stock that is cheap, and under attack to expose maximize someone else's risk. Kind of an economic judo move, where the bigger they are the harder they fall.
So, they get poor, but, do you get rich? Now you own a piece of a company that sells old games. It's probably overvalued, doesn't pay dividends, and you don't own a significant share of the vote on who manages it.
