The more I think about it the more Westworld got it right. The bad guy in season 3 is just some dude who says whatever the AI in the earpiece tells him to say. The last season was awful but it predicted a lot, including hunting down free thinkers who can't be controlled and freezing them or 'reprogramming' them.
