Just threw $140 into AMC for 9 shares. Let's see how this ride goes. I don't get paid until Friday, so this is call I could muster for now.

AMC has been interesting for a while, since a liberal Federal judge removed the restriction on studios buying theaters, rules that were put in place to keep the studios from creating monopolies.

Disney probably wants AMC stock low, so they can buy it up and get control of the theaters, or buy the company out. A short squeeze like GameStop could fuck Mickey right in the ass. Or Sony. They're the two players who would be most likely to be looking at buying all the screens.
