Advice Requested: How to proceed with bleeding heart professors

In some of my classes, as to be expected, my professors are very liberal, and I am wondering if I should just hide my beliefs and pretend to be mentally disabled. One of my professors said that all opinions are welcome, but my TA, who will give me my grade, literally named her dog after Obama. What should I do?

I agree with this. To OP: You are not in a power position yet. Do what you have to do to get by right now. That may not be the most amazing and earth shaking answer but it's reality.
