This didn't work so well last time it was tried in 1860.
Correct me if I am wrong but the Civil War wasn’t a matter of the Constitution not being enforced. It was a matter of the south refusing to recognize a president who disagreed with slavery. It was to my knowledge that the Civil War did not become an outright attempt to abolish slavery into later into the war.
That was part of it, but it's important to recognize the outcome was totally frivolous. The South would have been better off to negotiate than to secede. The whole thing was really stupid.

It was peaceful until those South Carolina fools decided to fire on Ft Sumpter.
But muh confederate flag and racism reeeeeee
Not any valid comparison.
We all lost. The Civil War did almost nothing to resolve the issues of the day.
