So if you aren’t aware, a subreddit basically declared war on hedge funds that were shorting GameStop stock.

Is there any good reason to be bullish on GameStop? Not really. Hence hedge funds sank cash into profiting off its demise.

Say you’re a hedge fund and risk 5% of your capital on a $1m position shorting GameStop when it was at $4/share (250,000 shares). 6 months ago it was like $2.5/share, and you got a pat on the head for being in the money. And being in the money you held onto your position resting on your laurels.

Then reddit autists strike and now the stock is over $300/share. To exit that trade, it would cost $75m @ $300/share.

Well your fund is only worth $20m, and your broker would have done a margin call and wiped you out before you could recover from the quick move. Or you find a securities loan to cover. But with the wild nature of this, does a lender give your fund the money to cover and risk burning cash?

They are literally wiping out hedge funds. Because Internet.

Where does this tie in?

We just had the first president maybe ever who never had permission from the system to be president. Hence the hyperbolic nonsense. The system is allergic to not being in control. Trump wasn’t a part of the plan.

And just like that a Wall Street backed stooge slept his way into the White House (the boring way) and a VP slept her way (the interesting way) in.

But now Wall Street is getting hit by random people who don’t have finance degrees from ritzy Ivy League schools, and the guys who name drop their alma maters are getting rekt.

Then there goes reporting that Nasdaq monitors online activity and any trading that seems to be based on suspicious online activity can be freezed.

Um wut? Hedge funds can bully their way to successful trades, but Reddit autists can’t?

The mostly peaceful patriotic protests have been branded terrorism to ease the Washington establishment, because their success and self-interested profit only happens because of apathetic citizens who won’t do anything about their grift.

Now Wall Street is losing control over reddit autists...

The establishment is very scared. They’re losing control, and the more they lose it the louder the TV talking heads will scream, and the more authoritarian they will get.

This hits them directly in their pockets though. The amount of wealth being lost on these shorts is far larger than the total $1.5 billion Joe Biden spent on his campaign.

Take note and watch.

Pedes need to step in, together we can beat the swamp. I'm sure all Patriots have more money than the reddit faggots. I rather pump my money in it than donate it to Red.win or some RINO fucker

We need an alternative to Silicon Valley. Too bad Trump moved to Palm Beach, as it would be a lot cheaper to get it started up in TX, and you have less to worry about hurricanes.

Easy. Stop building 2-3k sq ft houses - build reasonable (hell, if you can stand it build tiny... insure - reduce the amount of shit you accumulate, if a hurricane threatens have another house further inland (I used to say Georgia, but now Alabama makes the most sense).

Just an idea (actually, it's my COA - just have to get on a new 5 year contract @ work)....

I think all new FL construction has to be rated to withstand Cat 5 hurricanes.

But to get a real location destination for the amount of business and tech company infrastructure it would take to free us from corporate censorship would take a lot of space.

I would think a smaller structure (still built to CAT5 hurricanes - not sure about those specifics) would still be feasible and easier to accomplish (as well as cheaper to build/insure), or am I totally off-base?
