Hello frens and patriots. I am a man of God, but not so much the church. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult if I am need of prayers. Thankfully I know patriots.win is full of brother/sisters in Christ. I would selfishly ask if you could pray for me pedes. I am having some potential/perceived heart issues, which is fueling some mental health issues, which is creating a cycle of perceived further heart issues sending me down a cycle of feeling hopeless. I am not in a great place.

Don't worry, I don't feel like giving up or anything, but I acknowledge that I am currently powerless against this. I know logically that there is always hope though, so I ask if a few pedes wouldn't mind digitally gathering in here in Jesus name to send a prayer on my behalf. I don't like asking for self prayers, but I believe God is the only way to overcome this.

I don't fear for myself so much, but rather for those that rely on me to be strong and perform. When this stuff hits me I am useless, and it takes me out for a bit. I need to be functional for those I love and care for (Friends/Family/Employees). I am hoping this makes it less selfish.

VA has not been so helpful, but God has been!

Thanks you frens, God bless!

Prayers back at you for your POT's fren! I am active, but my blood pressure keeps climbing and I get bouts of shortness of breath. I have also been walloped with GERD. I admittedly suffer from Panic Attacks that started during my time in the military. I've gone in for my heart a few times over the years and they always just attribute it to anxiety and GERD (which is probably the case) as nothing shows on the EKG, it's just been worsening and sometimes it take me out. The doctor finally showed concern yesterday at my BP and noticed PVCs when listening to my heart. He said it's benign, but wants to follow up. I don't drink often, don't smoke, eat healthy, limit caffeine and am athletic. I am not even middle aged, and am already in hypertension stages fueled most likely by extreme anxiety issues I can't shake.

I wish I could be like my old school dad who went through all this shit, but acted like it was NBD. Tough SOB. I know God can grant me victory though, and if not I must always try and remember the thorn in Paul's side and accept there is reason.

A few observations. One, thank you for your prayers. Two, my POTs started after a pretty severe concussion / head injury that I took last May. However, I also was forced to take a Tdap vax at the ER pretty much against my protestation to the contrary. Then all the symptoms developed over the course of 7-14 days. So, I am convinced that it is autoimmune. I am damaged, likely, for life. Its very disabling for me. It affects my mood terribly. I have kind of this constant PTSD like underlying anxiety and my body is always producing too much adrenaline. It's awful. So, I feel your pain.

I am on propranolol, which is a beta blocker. 20mg 3x a day. I notice it helps slightly with anxiety and also keeps my tachycardia manageable.

I dont know the details as to what meds youre on and I'm not a doctor.

What I can recommene however, for arrythmias and just general heart health, is something called the Awesome Foursome by cardiologist Dr. Sinatra.

Essentially it's,

  1. CoQ-10
  2. Magnesium
  3. D-Ribose
  4. L-Carnitine

And a standard multivitamin.

The brands and doses are important. I could give you more info via DM. Wouldnt hurt at all to try it for a month. But OK it w/ your cardiologist first. Im sure he will say its not gonna work...but you never know until you try!

Thanks! I will look into it. I know the beta-blockers can help with the anxiety of it. Magnesium has also been recommended to me in the past. You issues sound more severe, so I really hope and pray you can get through. I 100% feel you on the adrenaline. I used to be a junkie (skydiving, rock climbing, etc...) then one day the thrill of mass adrenaline coursing through me turned into a curse.... Always here if you need to vent. It sucks venting to our loved ones sometimes who don't understand (even if they try too).

I'm also having something like this. For immediate relief I have found that getting the magnesium From an epsom salt bath is helpful. I find I no longer absorb it through the digestive tract, something I believe is related to the GERD. I also use magnesium oil when I can't get to the bath. 1cup of epsom salts for every 60 lbs of bodyweight in a HOT bath for one hour. Your heart relies on magnesium to relax. And there's not a lot in our diet anymore. spez: Let me know if you find anything helpful, please. spez 2. Also try sublingual vitamin B-12. Turns out I have lost the ability to get that from food, also. And when that was corrected I had improvement.

That's super interesting!!! I will try the epsom salt tonight. I know magnesium is supposed to be helpful. Can deficiency be tested? I wonder if I have something similar occuring.

+1, especially on magnesium

Do not neglect zinc, but overdoing it will cause a copper deficiency as they compete to absorb. Copper deficiency will cause all sorts of nastiness from weakness to vision loss and premature greying . This appears to be a common problem in the age of wuflu, so adding a tiny bit of copper and taking zinc separately is a good idea..
