You can keep them sane without homeschooling, depending upon the school district, as long as you discuss things with them and explain reality to them, showing them the difference between rhetoric and truth and keep an eye on what content they consume. It's in plain sight right now, so easy to point out the lies from the media and education. Some kids just rebel for the sake of it. Others, the smart ones, understand and learn to discern, hopefully with your influence. If you don't pay attention to them, take an interest in what they think and try to teach them, then it's the commie schools that are influencing them alone. Their friend choices also have a big impact on their political views, and I'd say bigger than the schools. Media, entertainment, friends; what they see and consume affects them more than just day-to-day school bullshit.
