No it's not.... Read the damn thing.... They made a meme to look like an official campaign put it out telling people that they could vote by text and then even signing it as if it was officially endorsed.... Which is illegal and always has been....
What does officially endorsed mean? I should be able to make an official looking campaign flyer telling people to throw their mail in ballots in the ocean and they’ll be counted, or so many other things. I’m not depriving them of their right to vote, I’m communicating bad information.
But ya, maybe we should limit “bad” information. I am sure the arbiters of what is “bad” will not use that to their advantage and will be wholly neutral.
Perhaps the third party company that acts as the soapbox in the public square can be the arbiter? I haven’t seen them abuse that position.
