Sowell was one of those guys who someone like a 'Bill Maher' or really any of the Lefty types of shows would never invite. I think Phil Donahue regretted it for a lifetime. Sowell would nuke marxism. They just knew not to have him on or half the audience becomes free marketeers before the show ends.

so true! I can remember being an idiotic teenager with a pretty dumb understanding of the world and Sowell was on some late-night interview show and I got it, I really got what he was saying and why he was saying it. The best ever.
He's an astounding individual and proof of the meritocracy that exists in America. His back story is so inspiring and the polar opposite of the one the democrats paint of oppressed black America, where an AA can't achieve without the kindly (sarc) hand of the gubmint.
