Understand and recognise... there will be some Dems that would quite happily move to a PATRIOT party. I think what we are seeing is her signal that that is what she is prepared to do. She will not be the only one. Some pollsters are saying a Patriot party would on get about 23% of any future vote... they are wrong... they have not taken into account Democratic Patriots.
While Tulsi has some policy stances that aren't fully-based, I think there's a general sense that she is, on average, pretty damn honest. I think that's the general appeal, that she is, for the most part, pretty open & real. That's basically the same appeal that Trump has for most of us, isn't it? That he is about as real & honest as one could hope for? Politics always come with a certain level of veiled-truths and lie-by-omission practices... that's part of the game.
Even if you disagree with certain policy positions, the simple fact that there's a general sense of honesty is refreshing. Tulsi may not be full-blown MAGA, but Hell, she seems to be more of an ally for AMERICANS and most American values than fucking Mr. Turtle and Mutt Romney have proven themselves to be.
Knowing what we know now about the backstabbing traitors in the GOP? Shit, Tulsi seems like a great person to have around.
Also... how many Pedes have openly stated they were at one time more Liberal than Conservative? I'd be willing to bet that the MAJORITY of the MAGA Movement is made up of people who once found themselves sort of a default Lefty/Liberal/Democrat.
Way I see it, Tulsi is looking at our side as the side of Sanity. Rightfully so. You should consider extending a friendly hand instead of pushing her away. She seems to be sniffing around for a big Redpill, but hasn't fully commit yet. Be friendly and you never know... her opinions and policy stances might evolve to be more in line with whatever movement takes her in.
What's the alternative? Push away one of the last sane Democrats to be taken in by the demon horde and add another to their already massive army?

As far as the scale goes, I'm just a smidge to the right of dead center, so I understand where you're coming from on the "pedes being once more liberal" standpoint. I'm a "live and let live" kind of person, so that can be seen as a liberal stance in a sense.
The way I see it is Tulsi has shown to be a Democrat that can co-exist with Republicans as an American first. She doesn't act like today's radicalized extreme Democrats do. Like you I appreciate the honesty more than I dislike some of her policies. She seems like she's not always 100% on her stances and is willing to negotiate and find common ground everyone might be happy with.
Absolutely, and I'm glad to see someone out there sees what I see. It's important that we don't cripple ourselves with extreme tribalism. Otherwise we're the same as the Far Left. If we are to be the congregation of the sane, we have to maintain that "live and let live" attitude. We can't expect everyone to swing hard Right on every single issue, nor would I want everyone too. I certainly do not.
I look at it like baseball. You need your lead-off batter, you need your power hitter, you need a guy that can pitch 100+MPH fastballs too, and is more likely to bunt than go for the bottom-of-the-ninth Grand Slam. Everyone has a role, everyone takes their position. Tulsi could very well be a Center-Left field position player that gets to smile & wave to the audience. She may not be the one who wins the games or makes the big plays... but she is reliable, has a few saves, doesn't always strike out, and is generally well-liked by the fans.
We need all the help we can get.
