The most requested community in the past week: WallstreetBets
We've been following the situation, not wanting to release a WSB community without having their mods onboard. Well, we still don't have their mods on board. We talked to them in mid-2020, but never came to an agreement.
We hope that they don't get banned from Reddit (we'd pick up a good portion of that traffic, so don't do it, Steve.)
Having said that... the WSB Discord server just got banned (for hate, by the way), and it's very possible that the subreddit suffers the same fate...
Our unofficial WSB Win site:
https://wsbets.win/ or c/wsbets
We've had some well known WSB users reach out asking for us to set this up, and even some people who have been involved in the running of WSB, but to be very clear, this is NOT officially affiliated with the WSB subreddit (but we'll hand it over to them when they want it)
Update: WSB is NOT banned on Reddit. It's private, which is normally a decision by the moderators.
Yep and their discord got banned. Suddenly redditors cares about censorship again as they're causing a ruckus over it, fucking faggots
Did discord nuke the entire user listing too?
Because fuck, I'm leaving every discord server I am in. I never thought being part of a stock trading server would be a hot ticket to a permanent ban.
Discord are morons. Sure its at most a couple dozen thousand users at a time, but they are into now hundreds of severs shut down with all user banned.
But then I suppose we can't expect liberals to be capable of multiplication to realize they are banning a huge chuck of their user base, one server at a time.
Discord bans everyone in a server when they ban the server, no matter what the ban reason is or if the individual users contributed to the banning.
I've been in about 7 banned servers as staff (The_Donald, Game modding server that was banned several times due to competitors spamming reports.) and still have my account(s) from when Discord was still in its testing phase. Though, they usually do ban all accounts.
