cell phones used to be totally encrypted, and batteries lasted like a month - why in hell would we have changed that? oh right, cuz we neeeeeeed john oliver to tell us what to think while we sit on the toilet in quarantine
I finished out my contract on my iphone, and pay month-to-month now, and since then, I'm lucky to get the battery to last a day. The phone straight up stopped functioning properly after the contract expired.
