I usually only edit to fix grammar but I noticed a month or 2 ago my edits stopped even working, so now I delete and repost with the correction.

That’s usually temporary. Sometimes my grammar edits are immediate. Sometimes they simply never take hold.

I've noticed that too, I think there's a cache/delay thing going on, my edits usually show up after a minute or two (sometimes longer when it's busy).
