I don't think it will chain-out to the Fed, or even larger banks... They'll sacrifice the hedge fund and bank (and anyone stupid enough to help either) to protect the Fed.
And that's assuming the debt is concentrated in one bank. I daresay it's likely spread out enough to be absorbed.
