Since having experienced the culture of my home state and county I can only conclude that people who don’t understand our culture should not be pushing their views on us.
Black men that contribute positively to our community (NC) don’t looks like this. Black men that contribute negatively do. Don’t give me that wealth disparity bullshit, I got out of the Navy with $-9.00 to my name got clothes from got a $3 shirt from Goodwill and now work in IT for a business that has opening locations across the country. Do you know how hard that is to get to that level? We are successful because we are careful about who we get involved with.
Not once had I mentioned wealth disparity, while wealth is a factor in both directions its usually the exception not the rule. The point I was trying to make was upbringing. There are too many single mother households, and that is what contributes the most to the degradation we are seeing in every single community, but most notably and visually the black community. It is literally the root cause of it all.
Well it would seem that we are correct for saying that their parents should have raised them better. I mentioned the wealth disparity both address the usual talking points.
Should be noted that the image I shared is a very honest representation of my statewide (NC) culture. There’s just some types of people that we don’t like to do business with because it usually comes with baggage. I mean you can polish a turd though... I mean look at DC lol. Even still if you look like a punk or a gang member or any other loser that negatively contributes to the community then you can expect to be shunned by the greater populace.
