Was always taught you need to stand up for what you believe in, but California is just ridiculous. Born and raised here (kind of a Conservative city), I was taught by my teachers capitalism, Manifest Destiny, and that the USA was the best country on the planet. I was from a white picket fence America and all-American family. Now we have to worry about teachers openly being Marxist’s (and using “struggle sessions” to indoctrinate our children, and yes this is true from San Bernardino) and socialists. How does this end? I can’t really think of any way except to call out the teacher and make sure my kids never see them again (and bring in some helicopters). The right needs to STOP being the “reasonable” ones and get their message out. President Trump, or any pede, for the love of God run for governor. In the case it stays blue, where can/should we move? Texas? I know Texans hate us Californians but where do we go as a Communist refugee??

As a fellow Californian I struggle with many of the same issues. I don't think moving out of state is an answer to the problem if you can't bring yourself to speak up where you live. If you are serious about leaving... Start by letting everyone know what you really think where you live - otherwise you are the problem.

Commiefornia keeps importing illegals with the promise (and fulfillment) of free college, free money, driver's licenses, voting etc. while taxing the middle class into oblivion. I dont see a way to come back from this, schools are teaching our children to hate our country and the basic American principles. How do you fight this? They have probably cheated every election since Reagan to keep themselves in power. Let commiefornia die.

This isn't exclusively a California problem. Illegal aliens have been exploited by big companies seeking low wage employees for shit jobs, as well as Democrats looking to create an underclass of people who they can use to gin up the numbers in their districts as well as scare family members of said illegals into voting for them. Pretending that California is an island onto itself is a mistake - it's the front line in a losing battle.

California has been "red" for quite some time. They just stole votes and changed them to make it look "blue." The same way they did the Presidential election. Until you expose the voting fraud in every state, it doesn't matter who runs for office, the democrats will just rig the system for who they want.

There are a lot of places to go in the US, texas, florida, idaho, and more. They don't hate Californians, they hate liberal policies of the state. As long as you are conservative you'll do well in any red state.

I'm stuck in cali for four years. When I move I will by flying a trump flag high and apologize to my neighbors profusely about my California heritage.

My great grandfather left Sicily because the kingdom had been taken over by Savoys and things were turning into a dumpster fire. I never got a chance to ask him why he left but it had been 60 years between the fall of Sicily and him migrating to America.

I guess in the end, your family becomes more important than country. Or state in this case.

As a 4th generation Californian I struggle with the thoughts of leaving the state I've called home my entire life. But I've also had the opportunity to travel the travel months at time and know how much is out there.

As more and more businesses leave California all that will be left is a service industry to support the crumbling infrastructure and the ultra wealthy that chose to stay.

If you think we are a cult because we don't want to live in a state with homeless drug attics on every corner, failing schools, failing roads, and rampant corruption/fraud at every level government than you are the ones with blinders on.

When you drive through Corona del Mar and see homeless encampments in the bushes next to $10,000,000 + homes you know there is a problem.

The rich have the ability to vote with their feet. The top .5% income earners account for over 40% of the tax revenue of California. What happens when they leave?

They have ability to reside anywhere in the world, and weekend in whatever state they want. Why Musk just by a house in Texas?
