The rich pay fewer taxes or sometimes nothing because they can afford to hire teams of people to use tax loopholes to get out of paying taxes.
It's true it's unfair. We should elminate the tax loopholes by canceling ALL types of taxes and instead implement a fairtax...a flat CONSUMPTION tax (sales tax) of 23-33%
That is retarded. The rich pay less taxes not because of "loopholes", but because tax breaks they receive were created because the money they hold produces more economic output than yours does. You might not like this, but the billionaire investor's money is producing more economic growth by making capitol available to market than the poor people buying commodity items, which is why it's good they pay less taxes than the poor. Of course, the federal government should spend less money and everyone should be taxed less, but you're just regurgitating the retarded leftist understanding of our tax code.

If we TRULY believed in EQUALITY, we would implement a 33% consumption tax
If you are poor, and you buy cheap bread and can of peas, you pay extra 0.33 x TOTAL. For 4 dollars you pay 5.32.
If you are rich and you buy a 5M yach, you pay 6.65M
