They aren't Christian values; stop trying to take credit for the enlightenment period. The Japanese also have these values, and had very little Christian influence in their history, so your explanation is demonstration false. These values are genetic in origin, not cultural.

Did you miss the part where Japan reformed their entire country and culture to mimic America and American values? You've only demonstrated ignorance if you think the "Enlightenment" created America.

You are vastly overestimating how much they changed. First off, you're incorrect as they had the same values long before WW2. Second, they definitely love American media and cultural exports, but they didn't change anything about their traditional culture. You should talk to someone who has been there, they do not act like Americans at all (and in fact consider us quite rude by their standards). Spez: Also, if they were Christian values, then you would see them adopted in Christian countries in Africa. But you don't, because they are genetic.
