Reince Prebus, former chairman of the RNC backed Trump in the 2016 campaign after Trump won the primary. The organization did back him. Some never Trumper bastards like Romney and corrupt Bush loyalists opposed him.

Trump personally thanked Reince in his election night speech and made him the first Chief of Staff in the WH.
