As some of us suspected, GEOTUS' legal battles were trainwrecked by a drunk and incompetent Rudy Giuliani -- astounding inside account of the post-election mess of incompetence that punted away the election -- Patrick Byrne, Overstock CEO (Sidney Powell understood the steal, RG did not)

I'll wait for reliable verification of this before jumping on the character assassination bandwagon directed at one of Americas' most beloved patriots.
You and your upvoters don't appear to comprehend that you are looking past those who served our real President so poorly and who need to be called out here.
Nobody helps Donald J. Trump by being an apologist for the incompetent legal team that did him in.
Incompetent lawyers like Giuliani -- might as well have Biden/Harris paying them.
If you REALLY support Donald J. Trump, you will look the unpleasant facts in the eye and figure out who helped him and who did not.
"Beloved patriots" . don't knock back 9 shots of whiskey at midnight when the next morning involves a critical defense of the President.
And how in hell do you know what a 'beloved patriot' does or doesn't do? FUCK OFF!
The same way anyone else knows. Staying sober when you are legally representing a robbed President with brutal odds against him would seem to be useful, but that's just me.
@surfingusa - have you read chapter 3? https://www.deepcapture.com/2021/02/how-djt-lost-the-white-house-chapter-3-crashing-the-white-house-december-18/
I think there is at least some truth to Byrne's story. There is no explanation why Rudy would be sweating like a pig at that 10 a.m. press conference when no one else was sweating, unless he was boozing til 2 am. You need to sweat a shitload for hair dye to run like that.
Also I felt all along "why the hell isn't Trump just sending in such and such agents to take action?!" Flynn, Byrne, Powell, and others we're all saying to do it, yet Trump kept confiding in Rudy and nothing ever got done.
Cippalone and those other feckless lawyers we're clearly all trying to get Trump to concede. So why didn't Rudy step in? Sounds like they were all against him.
I'm starting to believe Byrne's story more and more
@TrumpTrainNov3 I fully concur. Byrne's version and narration help make some sense of this incomprehensible mess. But the question remains
WHY did Trump feel he had to stick with Rudy WHY did Rudy screw this all up?
So bizarre.
YES. The sweat on Rudy was a tell.
ALL the details Byrne provides (except that DJT didn't know about the 2018 EO) sound right to me. I have decades of career experience in sifting truth from fiction and writing about it.
I guess Rudy was on a continuum of more loyalty to DJT than Cippolone, and normally would have been shown the door by the traitors, but they counted on Rudy to be neutered and ineffective due to his alcoholism.
Yep, for the last 3 months I've been frustrated as hell that the 2nd term somehow slipped away and they could have stopped it. My gut always told me there was things going on behind the scenes that were causing these head scratching situations and lack of action, and Byrne's writings pretty much filled in all the gaps.
Perhaps Rudy and Trump were both counting on SCOTUS in the end, but they denied to hear the Texas case on December 11th, and they seemed to basically give up after that.
Frankly Flynn should have pulled Trump aside and basically demanded that he use the military as a matter of National Security to save/recount the election. After 4 years of those feckless attorneys misleading trump, it was time to listen to the people's General!
Unfortunately it seems Trump did give up somewhere after the 6th. I personally would have just refused to leave office and said "I won the election, and I can prove it, and I'm not leaving."
If 1% of this is accurate, Rudy is not a beloved Patriot.
And it's not character assassination to . note he was in way over his head on the nature of the election fraud that involved real quant analysis, not a few dead voters in Philly.
Whatever ...
^ . You can do better than this I believe.
