I gave up on roku when roku cancel Alex Jones which was one of their most popular apps.
They even took another channel down that was secretly broadcasting Alex Jones stuff sometimes.
I originally bought a roku years ago because it was supposed to be an open video box where you got to choose from an open list of official and unofficial channels. And in the beginning it was.
They shut that down real quick.
Can't get anything interesting anymore.
And now they push the roku channel which is just all msm stuff.
Next thing is to buy a small linux computer for $50 and a wireless keyboard and mouse do you can stream anything available on the internet including banned.video. to your tv. You can also do gab or parlor or YouTube or bitchute etc on your tv because it's literally a regular computer.
Look for term SBC (small board computer). You load linux on them and you literally have an open computer running your tv.
Android boxes are out because Google is blocking anything unapproved on android now.
Bit make sure not to get a prebuilt computer. They are built to lock out your choices just like android and roku and the rest.
Get a straight up regular sbc and put open source software on it like
"MythTV provided a free and open source solution using Linux. The concept was to combine a digital tuner with digital video recording, program guides, and computer capabilities with a 10-foot (3 m) user interface.[13] XBMC was another free and open software project started with re-purposing the Xbox as a home theater PC but has since been ported to Windows and Macintosh operating systems in various forms including Boxee and Plex.[1."
I don't know them but I am not trying to record from cable or over the air like most of those so I don't need the cable or video in.
I want to be able just to watch unlimited internet streaming on my tv like banned.video and bitchute.com and others as well as get on gab and parlor and more. So I just need a regular tiny pc computer running linux with a browser. That offers the most flexibility.

Don't forget that you can hook most laptops up to big TVs via an hdmi cord right now.
If you have an old one do that and use it with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
SBC's are nice because they are tiny and don't make noise unlike laptops. But laptops work.
Also "HTPC" (Home Theater Personal Computer).
