98% of war is sitting and waiting hopefully for your enemy to expose themselves. Your "plan" consists of sitting on your ass doing nothing prepared for everything.

You don't blow out the candle when the shadows it casts scare you. The candle won't protect you from what lurks in the darkness, only you can.

I think "the plan" was and always is for the candle to be lit and then taken away for a time. But I don't know that it was ever Trumps plan. This seems very much like God's plan and Trump was just following him.

We've been so fixated on Trump being our savior that we forgot who really brings deliverance.

I've been agnostic my whole life, but I've started praying the last couple months. It's a start.

That's THE start. I grew up in the faith, but over my earlier 20s had a real rough time growing. (Drinking, sex and chasing money wasn't as fun as I thought it would be)

All that matters is that you're here. As we all are with God. I'm rebuilding everything I know about God from the ground. But what is most fulfilling is knowing he's always in the room with me. I'm never truly "alone" ever again unless I push him out of my thoughts. I always struggled "hearing" him. But now I just say, ok God. I'm listening, what can I learn? I would like your wisdom. And he's yet to leave me empty handed. Though frequently my ego hates what conclusions he's making me draw.

I wish you the best!

This isn't exactly the position of organized religion, but here's my personal take on it based on decades in a church that challenged you to think about everything, read the whole bible, etc:

God is just. God is merciful. God would not punish someone for not being exposed to him. The only unforgivable sin is a continual (according to the greek conjugation) rejection of Christ.

I think when you die you meet Jesus. He's like "Hey man, you were a total fuckup. But I love you anyway, we cool?" and right then you get a choice. You can give him a hug or give him the finger.

I only can!

And I don't fully agree with that statement to be honest. I HOPED Trump would be salvation for our nation. But I didn't bank soley on him either.

On the spiritual level, he's just a man, always has been.

So basically, we can never interrupt them? :)
