Honestly China's more based than the West on a lot of things.
Even on cultural issues they're a lot more conservative and laugh at all the blue haired SJW freaks shoving dildos up their butts and groveling to black people.
They even have a thing called "left over women" where if women aren't married by ~25 it's a huge faux pas and they'll have a hard time finding a husband.
I've never been there myself but I know a girl that taught English there for a couple years and she said day-to-day life is actually freer for the average person; there's less regulations you can just open up a small business on the street corner with no license or permits or whatever and the cops leave you alone as long as you don't criticize the government.
