Fair enough, but I'd hold some gold and crypto too, there ain't enough local stores around here to cover all the needs, just the basics. Nearest mall is over 50 miles away, sadly they only take plastic card but with the help from exchanges I can convert crypto to plastic in milliseconds.

Forget gold and crypto. Spices and everyday comfort items. If the economy crashes, and I smell it coming, they will be worth a LOT in trade.
