GME just proved that the stock market (at least in the short term) is it's own thing. GameStop themselves pretty much have nothing to do with what is going on.

The stock market in the short term is more unpredictable than sports betting.

I have nothing against the possibility of all these crazy investment opportunities, but now that they are exposing that it is rigged against the small guy it becomes pretty fucked up.
