Discord will nuke you and all the accounts that joined the server! Just happened to us previously. Unfortunately they're China run. though it's a great idea in general. I'm just not sure you want to take the risk of having a lot people or visibility?
I had my account deleted even though I didn't even post anything in the server originally.
I'm a bit too unplugged to be aware of either, but I've heard good things about Matrix. A lot of people used it for coordination on the 6th. Hopefully someone will pass by that knows a bit more!

I'm looking for alternatives. I'm hearing something called Matrix or Element is good. Thoughts?
