The only thing that matters in regards to climate change is China and Africa. If the solutions don't begin and end there, it's a lie.

India as well.

I have not yet seen Greta sailing to China and bitch slap Xi yet.

6
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 6 points ago +6 / -0

Greta is funded by China. Besides, they don't need "solutions" to the "climate emergency" in China because they are already a totalitarian country.

utfanx2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Any restrictions placed on local manufacturing must apply equally to imports.

3
Formerlurker92 3 points ago +3 / -0

China doesn't have a green movement because they are already communist

2
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's a lie, and the solutions all lead to totalitarianism.

Oh no! The world will have a higher amount of solar energy, carbon dioxide, and liquid water! If only there was some form of nanotechnological construct that consumes these things to produce useful compounds. /s

The way I see it is, if it was true the measures proposed and taken were so pathetic that it doesn't even matter. There is no way that closing a factory in the US or some western country just to reopen it in China to then ship products here is helping the environment. It also makes no sense that nuclear energy was not seen as the obvious solution. I'm no climate scientist so I can only go by common sense, common sense says it's an excuse used by con artists to dupe us, even if it's true. They were also wrong about their predictions multiple times and clearly hysterical with their alarmist.

RedditIsCommunist 4 points ago +4 / -0

When there’s a nonsensical non-solution proposed to solve a claimed problem, it’s entirely normal to question whether the claimed problem is even real.

After all, if there’s really an asteroid headed toward the earth, you don’t pretend to solve that by trading asteroid credits in an asteroid trading scheme. You build the mechanisms needed to divert the asteroid, and you only build effective mechanisms not farcical ones.

The things the kids are not learning in school are: 1) basic critical thinking (they might question their teachers which inconveniences the teachers) and 2) skepticism (Cartesian doubt) is the #1 most important concept in the philosophy of science. If one simply believes everything an authority figure says then that’s religion, and not even very good religion, not science.

3
Tom94 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've always been a firm believer if you cripple the climate change argument you destroy the religion being used to start the one world government.

3
borscht-nazi 3 points ago +4 / -1

And we thought we put this shit to rest over a decade ago. I guess they've figured that enough idiots have now grown old enough to revive the old bullshit again.

2
47urOFH3d 2 points ago +2 / -0

All the models for economic damage always assume that we wouldn't use much cheaper solutions. Like if houses were going to be below the water line, we would just let them be flooded, rather than building levies. Or just gradually move cities to higher elevations as old buildings get replaced by new ones.

x-irradiance 2 points ago +2 / -0

I often wonder what 2020 might’ve been like if JBP had as much input into the public discourse as he did in 2016.

These dipshits have been making the same wild predictions of doom since the late 1960s. Always it's we have however many months or years to act or we're all gonna die. And always the time passes and not a fucking thing happens and they move the goalposts another few years down the road,

You'd have to be a complete fucking vegetable to believe in global climate warming change (with ice age) or whatever they call it this week.

I'm a big fan of JP, but in a recent podcast he & a guest agreed that there was no election fraud because of the consensus of the court cases against Trump.

The man is a true classical liberal, and about as good as they get.

3
Ralt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, I've heard Eric Weinstein make the same argument. "If your cases were legit, why did every court refuse to hear them?"

Like... motherfucker, because the Uniparty doesn't want to hear them. Anyone who doesn't understand that Trump was a true 3rd party candidate riding the corpse of the GOP will never understand what happened.

LetMeBeFrank 1 point ago +1 / -0

Climate change is bullshit, always was and always will be. The only climate change that exists is the seasons. No steps of any kind need to be taken. Anyone considering the weather a threat is a retard and a useful idiot for the elites. Case closed.

I recall a Q and A session with him and the host, 1 of the audience Qs was the predictable “muh globule warmingz- gubmints must do something!”

Peterson’s answer was if you were to shorten it: “wether or not warming is a thing, good luck finding the money to pay for it, you’d be better off tidying your room”

There isn't a consensus. It's just that in Academia, professors will act and say just about anything to keep their jobs and keep the group think going. For all those who think the students are doing all the threatening....think again. It's their own fellow academics and their own administrators who are encouraging the students to target any academic who says or does the wrong thing. Climate Change was first and foremost a political ploy to hike taxes and pass more regulations. Then it became a way for government to reward "team players" who went along with the bullschiff. Now it's part of the Great Reset, which was the end goal the entire time.
