I hate to say it but name an asset the government struggles to control.
Cash - Governemnt will inflate what you hold away until it's worthless.
Stocks - great but as is now evident they can get every financial platform/institution to freeze sells/buys when times get choppy. Go to a Trump rally or buy a gun they might just freeze your accounts.
Real estate - Governments can implement tax and confiscate if you refuse. Can't carry it away either.
Gold/Silver - Good but impossible to send anywhere and difficult to carry over borders.
Bitcoin - It's like a rainy day fund. No one can confiscate. Could theoretically carry a trillion dollars everywhere you go if you can remember 12 words. Accepted worldwide as more and more people use it.
