It can go on for as long as the tug of war lasts. Because you can cover your bets that will expire with new future bets , but it doesn't change anything because you are still in a horrible situation as the hedge fund.
The hedge fund people are smart and can quickly make little moves to lessen their damage... but they can't do too much , its super shitty. I can't think of anything ever happening like this, on this scale of size ever before. I honestly don't know how it will play out. But the government is paying attention and that's not good because fuck them
Also robinhood did a bad thing, by getting involved. I have no idea whats gonna happen. But the hedge funds obviously have so.much more to lose.
When you close out of a short position you are literally Buying Back the Security. This drives the price up because it is an honest transaction. So when more people are buying , than selling. Price goes up. And it makes the next transaction a little more expensive for the hedgefund and hurts more. And the price (last tick) keeps going up .
This is casino type shit. This is not Fundamentals
Is the unwinding of GME going to take 6 days? What is the relationship to people holding their GME simple buys to the unwind time?
