Company is now letting all employees work remotely forever. So fucking done with Bay Area bullshit a d can go wherever I want. I share a fucking 2BR apartment that I could sell for $850k despite making around $250k/year. How the fuck does that make sense? It's almost paid off. I'm selling and leaving. Suggestions welcome. I'm thinking New Braunfels TX
Edit: My parents are elderly and mobility restricted so I want to go somewhere they can get a 1 story ranch home and never see snow. Trying to avoid biting bugs but can tolerate heat. Thanks.
I am an over the road truck driver and I see huge chunks of the country regularly and I have to say Iowa is one of my favorite places as far as the plane states go. Tennessee if you’re into the mountains and excellent fishing. Ohio is nice but I’m biased because that’s where I’m from. I spent 18 years in North Carolina and if you’re looking for a warmer climate with access to the beach anywhere east of Raleigh is fantastic. Try to stay out of the Piedmont Durham Greensboro Raleigh area it gets very humid and the wind hardly ever blows there.
I personally am not a great fan of Texas the traffic is insane it’s really hot. Same reason I don’t like anything in the deep South though Florida Alabama Mississippi and Louisiana included. I have no problem with the people the weather is just too much for me.
Stay out of Illinois and Missouri both of those states have a lot of problems. The Dakotas are absolutely beautiful as well and Colorado is fantastic if you can afford it.
